Dr Karl Steiner is a minor character in the novel Scorpia.  He is the psychiatrist who assessed Alex Rider on Malagosto. Steiner also gave Alex an injection containing nanoshells which would have killed Alex along with thousands of other children as part of the operation Invisible Sword.

Dr Steiner has a slight German accent yet came to Malagosto from South Africa. He is said to look like a stereotypical psychiatrist, he wears silver-framed glasses, has thinning hair and inquistive eyes.
