They're going to hit St. Paul's tonight. As far as I can see, they're going to take out half the British government and hundreds of people too.

Why?

I don't know. But they've got a nerve agent called VX. I saw biochemical suits when I was in the Temple.

Operation Leap of Faith was a project spearheaded by Dominic Royce and created by Nightshade.

Objective[]

The principle goal was to kill Lord Clifford and the British Cabinet in order to be a wake-up call for England. Royce, the main mastermind, subscribed to believing that politicians are useless and ignorant of the world's issues. He also intends to destroy the government and let younger generations be in control.

Method[]

Leap of Faith would be accomplished by a veteran trio of Nightshade child assassins. The chief executor would have been Number 009/ Frederick Gray and Number 011, both of whom would be armed with a capsule of VX nerve gas, which was known to be the most horrible and destructive weapon of mass destruction that humanity had ever come across. They were supposed to parachute into St. Paul's Cathedral and would presumably detonate the bombs each of them held, possibly sacrificing themselves in the process if this was ever required.

In order to allow them to infiltrate the cathedral, Number 007/ Sophia Jones, would pose as a choir girl

Nightshade would have extracted the agents using a stolen helicopter.

Alex Rider would have been killed or captured by the police after Nightshade drugged him and disguised him as Julius Grief, then dropped him off somewhere in England, in order to deceive the police who would initiate a manhunt for 'Julius', which would distract law enforcement from the threat that Nightshade assassins posed.

Outcome[]

Aftermath[]

As was the case with SCORPIA following the failure of Invisible Sword, Nightshade suffered major embarrassment. The 4 teachers would reconvene to find a way to get back at Rider.
