Travelling to Malta in search of answers about his father's past, Alex and his best friends uncover the beginnings of a deadly plot by the criminal cabal known as Scorpia and the identity of its charismatic and ambitious new leader
Plot []
Alex, Tom, and Kyra embark on a journey to Malta with a mission: to uncover the elusive Widow, a figure tied to Alex's past and potentially his biological father. Malta is the birthplace of Scorpia, an organization bent on world domination. Unfortunately the group encounters several obstacles, but Alex is convinced the Widow is in Malta. While Tom suggests involving MI6's Alan Blunt, Alex disagrees.
Meanwhile, Max encounters Julia, who shows a keen interest in Alex's pursuit of the Widow. Julia's connection to Alex becomes increasingly apparent as she unveils her involvement in "Invisible Sword," a project aimed at terrorizing the UK to submission. Julia orchestrates a demonstration of Invisible Sword's power, triggering a fatal heart attack in a banker. With plans to unleash chaos on the UK, Julia appears to be the Widow herself.
Kyra's investigation leads them to a villa, where she's attacked. Alex intervenes, confirming they're on the right track. Despite Kyra's suspicions of a trap, Alex believes the events tie to his past. Further investigation reveals the villa's connection to Nicolai Rothman, long deceased, and his wife Julia, who's hosting an event at the Valletta Museum. Kyra secures Alex's entry, allowing him to shadow Julia.
In the museum's library, Alex overhears Julia and Dr. Kovacic discussing the Invisible Sword. Julia hands over diamonds to keep Kovacic silent. Alex's attempt to remain inconspicuous fails, leading to a confrontation and a daring escape.
